The Manhattan Declaration
A Call of Christian
Conscience
Christians, when they have lived up to the highest ideals of their
faith, have defended the weak and vulnerable and worked tirelessly to protect
and strengthen vital institutions of civil society, beginning with the family.
We are Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical Christians who have united at this
hour to reaffirm fundamental truths about justice and the common good, and to
call upon our fellow citizens, believers and non-believers alike, to join us in
defending them. These truths are:
the sanctity of human life
the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
Inasmuch as these truths are foundational to human dignity and the well-being of
society, they are inviolable and non-negotiable. Because they are increasingly
under assault from powerful forces in our culture, we are compelled today to
speak out forcefully in their defense, and to commit ourselves to honoring them
fully no matter what pressures are brought upon us and our institutions to
abandon or compromise them. We make this commitment not as partisans of any
political group but as followers of Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord,
who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Preamble

But does it live up to its billing?
A 2,000 year tradition of >>“reaching
out with compassion to the poor, oppressed and suffering”<<
Some have, perhaps. But today, many of these so-called charitable acts are very
questionable on many levels.
1st, is it our responsibility to care for what the world casts off? I think not.
Who appointed us the keepers of the entire world. We look after our own and if
we have excess, we help those we are directly acquainted with. How the rest of
the world runs is not our business in any primary sense. Our mission is to
promote the word of God, not bear other people’s responsibilities that they
ignore.
2nd, Do those who collect money really send most of it to the needy
or do they pocket considerable “expenses and administrative costs?"
3rd, do those asking us to give also give and live as we do, or is
their standard of living much higher than those they ask of? I know many live in
mansions, fly jets and live royally. Then they should not be asking me who has
little to live on, much less give to their cause. They got the dough; let them
do it.
Let the dead bury their dead or do whatever else they please to do with them. It
is not my problem or even my responsibility.
>>we claim the heritage of those
Christians who defended innocent life by rescuing discarded babies from trash
heaps in Roman cities and publicly denouncing the Empire’s sanctioning of
infanticide.<<
I would like to know where history records >>“rescuing
discarded babies from trash heaps in Roman cities.”<< For I have
read nearly all the pre-nicene “Fathers” and do no recall any such
statement. And even if they did, it was not required of them by God. What they
do on their own is their business exclusively and not binding upon all
Christianity.
Yes, they did denounce this and all sorts of other wickedness. But that is all
they did. They did not blow up abortion clinics, murder abortion doctors or
commit any other sorts of atrocities and intolerance, which violate God’s
commands as well as those of the nation, the
>>It was Christians who combated
the evil of slavery: Papal edicts in the 16th and 17th centuries decried the
practice of slavery and first excommunicated anyone involved in the slave trade;
evangelical Christians in England, led by John Wesley and William Wilberforce,
put an end to the slave trade in that country. Christians under Wilberforce’s
leadership also formed hundreds of societies for helping the poor, the
imprisoned, and child laborers chained to machines.<<
Combated slavery? Did not Paul say for salves to be obedient, for masters to be
kind and to obey the higher authorities and for whatever state we were called
in, to remain in that state? Indeed, Christians should not enslave anyone. But
to illegally contribute to freeing slaves is far beyond the commands of the
Bible as well as the higher authorities. Denounce it if you like, and it is
deserves such, but do not interfere with the laws of a nation that do not force
us to compromise with God’s laws.
In fact, owning slaves does not violate the Bible. In fact, if slavery were
sanctioned somewhere as it was in the
If they got laws changed to help the oppressed, that is good. But it they
violated laws to free slaves, they violate God’s commands. If they elect to
help others, well and fine. But how much or how little we do is more of a
personal choice and ability, not a requirement.
>>In
Yes, and for this they should burn in hell for an eternity but since hell does
not exist as they conceive it, they will just die a 2nd death, never
to be seen or heard from again. Kings had relative permission from God to rule.
Christians do not have a right to dispute a king’s right or over throw kings.
Democracy is a lie of the devil to deceive al mankind and it has nearly
completed its mission to destroy most of humanity. Anyone aiding the devil is
hated by God and will be judged by God.
>> This same devotion to human
dignity has led Christians in the last decade to work to end the dehumanizing
scourge of human trafficking and sexual slavery, bring compassionate care to
AIDS sufferers in Africa, and assist in a myriad of other human rights causes
– from providing clean water in developing nations to providing homes for tens
of thousands of children orphaned by war, disease and gender
discrimination.<<
Oh, listen to the hot air and BS! If they are so brave, courageous and
wonderful, how come they have not denounced big business and governments for
exploiting in the 1st place? Do you hear them protest people being
poorly paid and exploited? Ever hear them denounce exploiting 3rd
world countries and their labor? I haven’t heard it! Poverty is what causes so
many abuses to begin with.
If they hate sexual slavery, why don’t they legalize prostitution and give
prostitutes protections and rights, which are the things lacking which keep them
in bondage and slavery? Lying hypocrites they are! For they prefer the ill
treatment of prostitutes to legalizing them and protecting them so as to
drastically minimize and reduce the abuse and trafficking. Phonies to the last!
Why don’t they protest war which causes most of the sufferings they claim to
help? In fact, they usually support war with all its evils and excesses. Never
have I heard such liars and evil empty words. Martin Luther King fought poverty
and war. For this he was assassinated. Maybe that is why most Christians do not
do the same for they fear solving the real problems knowing these come with
serious consequences. Cowards as well as liars. They strain the gnat while
gulping down camel. Worse than Pharisees who killed out Lord.
In short, it is not our job to try to reform the world. God has already declared
its direction and destiny. We are to call people to their senses and recommend
God’s ways to them, for them to choose or reject freely, rather than being
forced by law or gunpoint to “convert, as the Catholics so often did in their
colonial “missions,” and other brutal enforcements of doctrinal correction
when another church or religion did not conform to their way of seeing things.
>>We act together in obedience to
the one true God<<
I wish it were true.
>> We call upon all people of
goodwill, believers and non-believers alike, to consider carefully and reflect
critically on the issues we here address as we, with St. Paul, commend this
appeal to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.<<
I hope they are still claiming this after I have written my piece/peace here.
But I have done as they have asked in this one.
>> a special concern for the poor
and vulnerable<<
Oh, really? Is this the same bunch that begrudges any sort of welfare? That does
not protest minimum wage being so low? Does not require price limits and much
more strict protection of dignity of labor rights and protections, which are
nearly non-existent at present in the
And what of the intense suppression and subversion of health care, whereby the
medical authorities, with full protection of the government, bitterly prosecute
and prevent medical discoveries that cure cancer in numerous ways and would
virtually wipe out all illness?
And what of the destruction and poisoning of the environment and the corruption
of processed food and the deliberate weakening of our food and its health value
so as to make us vulnerable to disease and premature death and multiple birth
defects and problems? How come they don’t fix those? Where is that sanctity of
life now?
>>the dignity of marriage<<
But only if your 18 and over? Who cares if they are not paid fairly at 18 so as
to maintain a small family, right? But if your under 18, then screw you, Jack,
you do not deserve dignity, sanctity, decency, or fairness. You can go to hell!
Well, I say its wrong. If it does not cover everyone, then it covers no one. If
a 15 year old makes a mistake, they should have to own up to it and take
responsibility for it but we do not allow that. Marriage for all? I wish!
>>the freedom of conscience and
religion are foundational principles of justice and the common good<<
I wished they really believed this crap. Is this the same practice of conscience
that led them to persecute, imprison, torture and even kill other Christians who
did not believe as they did? Who converted or changed doctrines by the edge of
the sword and cannon? Who brutally forced conversion of weaker or more primitive
(supposedly) people? Who threaten even today, members of their flock who dare
disagree or question some teachings, perhaps even following their own conscience
and understanding, rather than be pressured by the flock to conform to the crowd
or else?
If there is freedom of conscience and religion, I have not seen it. I have seen
the complete opposite. Total liars and hypocrites if ever I saw any!
>>1) the profound, inherent, and
equal dignity of every human being as a creature fashioned in the very image of
God, possessing inherent rights of equal dignity and life; <<
Don’t make my laugh! For without reasonable pay and living costs, how can
there by any dignity? If law and justice are not made easily available to the
poor without cost, which has not been the case for many centuries, right to the
very present, than what possible dignity or humane treatment can there be?
And with law and justice so corrupted and bypassed with such ease, what possible
rights and dignity does anyone accept the very rich have? Empty vain words they
are!
>>3) religious liberty, which is
grounded in the character of God, the example of Christ, and the inherent
freedom and dignity of human beings created in the divine image.<<
Well, if this is the case and it is, how come they do not also allow religious
liberty to their members as I have mentioned just previously? Not only must
government grant it, but so must all Christians to their brothers in the faith.
They all deserve the right to question, the right to disagree and say so without
punishment as if they had renounced God or favored another/pagan god. Why do we
hate and persecute independence in thought, word, deed, and action?
>>We are Christians who have joined
together across historic lines of ecclesial differences to affirm our
right—and, more importantly, to embrace our obligation—to speak and act in
defense of these truths. We pledge to each other, and to our fellow believers,
that no power on earth, be it cultural or political, will intimidate us into
silence or acquiescence.<<
Cultural or political powers will intimidate them though I dispute that. I think
they are very intimidated as I have pointed out with Martin Luther King (MLK) vs
what they remain silent on. And if they should not be intimidated by these, what
about by each other, other persons of the same religious faith? Then its OK to
intimidate and persecute, right? Their father is the devil!
>>Although public sentiment has
moved in a pro-life direction, we note with sadness that pro- abortion ideology
prevails today in our government.<<
These sanctimonious hypocrites think that abortion is horrible but they think
nothing of a child born without love or care, or even decent living conditions.
They believe there is nothing worse than death, even though Solomon said other
wise when he said, regarding the one never born, that it is better off than
either the living or the dead. So they ignore the Bible and the common sense
that spare a child a cruel hard life. Not to mention, the incredible amount of
money saved on welfare and possible harm and crime a child unloved might wreak
on society and with vast costs as a result as well. And these are the same ones
who protest any welfare and costs of crime. Go figure! And kudos to the
government on this one!
Sanctity of life means not wanting that life to suffer from neglect or
otherwise. To condemn one to life in prison or life in hell, so to speak, by
being born into poverty, neglect and misery is no respect for life or dignity
for it at all. Their lies have piled up all the way to heaven!
>> A culture of death inevitably cheapens life in all its stages and
conditions by promoting the belief that lives that are imperfect, immature or
inconvenient are discardable.<<
They start off good, but to make light of human suffering by trying to suggest
that abortion is sought because someone views that life as discardable when the
real reason could be that the mother wants to spare the baby a life that she
knows she is not equipped to give, is a nasty lie, typical of sons of the devil.
Or to call a life immature when it can not even be shown in the Bible that it is
even a life till born and drawing its first breath as God defined life in
Genesis 2 and other places as well.
But we should expect this of those who do not give
religious freedom of conscience and freedom and bully their members and
fellow citizens into believing just as they do and practicing just as they do.
They want to shove their beliefs down your throat and tell you what to do,
without regard for your own conscience and understanding. Nice bunch, eh? This
whole declaration is meaningless as a result.
But it is true that to justify premature deaths due to euthanasia or because
they are a burden, this is completely wrong. Whether due to being too eager to
harvest organs or enable transplants and good profits, too, I might add, or
wanting or needing to conserve or portion out health resources, or just to not
wanting to treat people adequately with health care, or whatever the reason,
euthanasia on any grounds except that of a person actively, and without being
prompted by another, asking for assisted euthanasia, is completely unacceptable.
>>Our message is, and ever shall
be, that the just, humane, and truly Christian answer to problem pregnancies is
for all of us to love and care for mother and child alike.<<
I believe that when I actually see it or when hell freezes over. But to date,
while they beg mothers to not abort, after the child is born, they are no where
to be found. Nor do they campaign anywhere near as fanatically for child rights,
parental rights, labor rights, wages, and living conditions. Nor do they fight
war, which kills so many innocent people of all ages. So they are BS whether
they care to admit it or not. By their fruits you will know them.
>>A truly prophetic Christian
witness will insistently call on those who have been entrusted with temporal
power to fulfill the first responsibility of government: to protect the weak and
vulnerable against violent attack, and to do so with no favoritism, partiality,
or discrimination.<<
By their own words I condemn them. If there is any consistent feature in our
government and world, it is the outrageous abuse and exploitation of “the
weak and vulnerable.” Are they kidding me? And yet, on most points of
exploitation and horrendous abuse, these phonies are silent or only speak in a
very soft quiet voice that can barely be heard or discerned. I don’t believe
them. They speak far more loudly on gay marriage and abortion. Inconsistent
liars.
>>What the Bible and the light of
reason make clear, we must make clear.<<
>> We must be willing to defend, even at risk and cost to ourselves and
our institutions,
the lives of our brothers and sisters at every stage of development and in every
condition.<<
They haven’t done it yet and I am not going to hold my breath waiting for this
one.
>>
Around the globe, we are witnessing cases
of genocide and “ethnic cleansing,” the failure to assist those who are
suffering as innocent victims of war,
the neglect and abuse of children,
the exploitation of vulnerable laborers,
the sexual trafficking of girls and young women,
the abandonment of the aged,
racial oppression and discrimination,
the persecution of believers of all faiths,
and the failure to take steps necessary to halt the spread of preventable
diseases like AIDS.
We see these travesties as flowing from the same loss of the sense of the
dignity of the human person and the sanctity of human life that drives the
abortion industry and the movements for assisted suicide, euthanasia, and human
cloning for biomedical research. And so ours is, as it must be, a truly
consistent ethic of love and life for all humans in all circumstances.
<<
First, I agree with them in that the reason for most human abuse and suffering
is that we have no sense of human dignity or value and respect the sanctity of
life. Nor does the world have any empathy or compassion left. The world has
become very selfish and self centered, to the exclusion of all else, anything
else, or anyone else. There is barely a decent human being left so that if we
were to ask God as Abraham did about whether there were 5 righteous men in a
city or not, God might return the same answer to us about many cities. No!!! Not
5 righteous men.
And they are right when they say that there is a world wide failure now to come
to the aid of those suffering and slighted, whether mildly or severely. The
world has lost its conscience. Most everyone has ceased to care or have any
kindness or compassion left. They are completely indifferent. Yes, the problem
has been identified. Unfortunately, I do not think these guys are much better.
Look at the self righteousness of the Evangelicals, the horrible past of the
Roman Catholic Church (RCC) and its dubious relationship to this day with
nations, mingling in bed with them, so to speak. The Orthodox churches with
their iconography/idolatry, false teachings, political meddling both past and
present and pretty virtually all the same sins as the RCC. When plays politics
as all these do in large measure, one can not avoid the stain of sin and evil
for the nations all belong to the devil to do with as he pleases in order to
make a testing of the entire world as part of his challenge with God.
I find this one overwhelming fault with them. When you consider the huge efforts
they have put forth against abortion and gay marriage, can you honestly say that
they have put forth anywhere as much effort in the other areas of neglect as
they have these 2? I do not find so. No where near! The neglect and abuse of
children is horrible and the main cause is actually poverty, which subject they
seldom address and do very little. It is easy to speak, but not so easy to act.
They do little of either.
As I would see it, political action would not be appropriate anyway, but they
are very active political promoters and meddlers and this is in opposition to
God’s law. But they should be very vocal about poverty and mistreatment of
people, all people, all races, ages, sexes, etc. All people should receive
kindness, consideration, respect, fair treatment, justice, reasonable living
standards and sadly, the resources to do that are more than abundant and
available. It is the rich holding back from labor around the word that enables
them to carry to their own dreams and desires without giving any respect or
consideration for the minimal desires of the laborers, the poor, the weak, the
downcast. This is what the Unholy 3 who promote this declaration have failed in
doing much of.
For if they did this, they would surely be persecuted in a very big way. And if
they stood against all war, which they certainly have not done, ever, then they
would be bitterly persecuted even as some groups have in the past for such a
stance, as Quakers, International Bible Students, Jehovah’s Witnesses and
other such groups who remained as conscientious objectors while most large
religious denominations of the past and present run off to war at every chance
they can get. They appear to be bought and sold by the government and the rich.
MLK was killed for protesting war and poverty. Amish, Mennonites, Hutterites,
and the like were also objectors but did not get the same persecution as the
others for they seemed few and so politically non-threatening that no one
bothered that much with them. Maybe there is a lesson in that, huh?
Lets consider the following on poverty:
Poverty causes or contributes to
fights over territories and nations.
Poverty causes or contributes to prostitution and trafficking.
Poverty causes or contributes to abuse of children because parents are miserable
and children become a burden.
Poverty causes or contributes to labor abuse because they have no choice and have
to take what is given.
Poverty causes or contributes to the abandonment of the aged because both son and
daughter are out working so there is no one at home to care for elderly parents
and then they are stuffed in cubicles to wait to die, poisoned with drugs, fed
poorly, deprived of the uplifting effect of grand kids, their accumulated wisdom
denied to the living kids and grandkids, and when they die, their homes will be
taken from the kids to pay for the nursing care that sucked in the first place.
Ain’t it great?
Poverty causes or contributes to racial oppression so that there are lots of
laborers who will get paid very little for their work. Keep them desperate so
they will take anything for wages.
Poverty causes or contributes to persecution of religion for good religion often
protests labor and other human abuse. But Main Stream large denomination
religions seldom suffer for they support war and remain relatively silent on
poverty.
Poverty is a symptom AIDS and
suppressed cures for deadly maladies for by limiting the ability to be healthy,
they can be drained of their money and given very little care and length of time
to live much longer so that knowledge and experience will die out and all our
money goes to doctors and drugs for nothing.
And it is largely the likes of the Unholy 3, a trinity from hell if ever there
was one, that has been silent about the bigger abuses while giving full support
to war and continuation of poverty and injustice. They are fine ones to talk. By
their fruits you will either know them or condemn them.
>>
Marriage
<<
They fanatically protest gay marriage, polyamorous conduct, and often even
polygamous marriage, not only among themselves, which would be fine, but also
among other people of the nations they live in, as if everyone should have to
live as they do, as if they were lords and masters of all nations. This is the
complete opposite of what the Bible counsels, in commanding its people to b
without spot from the world and not to be friends of the world, which is enmity
with God. We are aliens and temporary residents in all nations, according to
Paul in Hebrews.
The big 3 say that such sinful marital relationships or promiscuity, are harmful
to nations and people. This is likely the case . . . it is not the concern of
Christians what is harmful or not, for really, there is little of God’s law
and judicial precedents that is followed by the nations and even by the big 3!
And all of this is harmful. That justice comes at great expense? You mean that
is not harmful? And even then, it is not likely to come at all, even with great
expense paid. Why do they not protest that?
That the work place has become vicious, demoralizing, dehumanizing, and with no
enforcement of current laws and protections for workers but corrupt Human Rights
Commissions and other such bureaucratic nonsense designed to make protections
void. Why do they not protest this? Why do they not argue for standards of pay
that allow all to have housing, and standards of living that are easily granted
to all without much cost.
Why do they not take away the monopoly of the corrupt AMA, FDA, Pharmaceutical
thugs, I mean, drug lords, I mean pushers, I mean companies (sorry about that),
insurance companies, abusive lawsuit happy lawyers, and price fix medical care
so that anyone may practice medicine and we can choose alternative therapies and
treatments and pay very little for much better treatment that all can afford?
Why don’t they seal up our borders, charge tariffs to nations that produce
goods by means of cheating labor and paying them poorly, so that our labor can
compete with theirs, or that the tariffs become prohibitive so that our labor
can produce what we need, and their labor can produce what they need and we call
all become self sufficient?
The big 3 ignore all this why crying very loud about silly things, silly when
compared with the really big problems.
>> Sadly, we are today far from
having a thriving marriage culture.<<
They are right! But it is they who have most contributed to this for they have
not worked hard to make their flocks understand how important it is to remain
chaste and only seek sex through marriage. This is one of the 4 most important
commands in the Bible.
But the Bible also makes it very clear that marriage is vitally important in
helping one to avoid temptation, fornication, and promiscuity. We all must have
outlets for our God given desires for sex and love. And this is every bit as
much so for teenagers or anyone of any age who arrives at puberty and becomes
anxious about sexual relations. Teenagers are human beings, too, with all the
rights and dignities due them as much as anyone else. Laws typically say
differently and this is where the big 3 commit their greatest sin by not fixing
this problem, which treats teens as if they were not human, had not rights and
deserved nothing. What we sow, we do indeed reap!
The big 3 should be concerned that the labor of an unwitting 1 male should be
devalued and unappreciated, and not worthy of the full benefits due older ones.
Either all matter, or none do. There is no distinction in the Bible between
adult and child. All have the same rights and dignities owed them, and none may
be abused. But the big 3 remain silent for it is the desire of governments and
the rich to take the education of kids away from parent and replace it with a
much inferior form of their own mass government education so that they may
program the kids to think their way instead of that of their parents.
But if they are to have 12 or more years of programming and brain washing, then
entry into the adult world of raising families and working must be delayed
un-necessarily long. In this way a full 12 years or even more with college, may
be accomplished. So children are forbidden to work full time before graduation
at 18, and threatened with poor pay unless they get at least 4 more years at
college. They are very discouraged from getting married before 18, and make it
impossible due to work restrictions, anyway.
As a result, humans of teen aged years must endure 6 or 7 years at sexual peak
before graduation and maybe 4 more at
college, if not 8 (6+4=10) and who knows how much till they can afford a family,
which may be never or will disappear when they get laid off due to sending all
our jobs overseas and leaving us with nothing but bankruptcy. No wonder they can
not wait and fall prey to fornication. Who can blame them? 10 years at peak
sexual drive is a torture and seems like forever, an eternity. Why hasn’t our
benevolent and caring Big 3 bitched about this one? Why do they care so little
about fornication, promiscuity, and temptation, leaving their own to fall prey
to temptation and alienation from God, if they care so much?
Yet they show all kinds of concern about others being immoral when the kids of
the Big 3 are perhaps the worst of the bunch now. They strain gnats while
gulping down camel. They pick straw in others eyes while ignoring the rafter in
their own! They give the tenth of all things while ignoring weightier matters.
Really, they are the modern day Pharisees, and they seek to do the will of the
devil, not God, just as the Pharisees of old did.
>> And so it is out of love
(not “animus”) and prudent concern for the common good (not
“prejudice”), that we pledge to labor ceaselessly to preserve the legal
definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman and to rebuild the
marriage culture.<<
In light of what I have written, this statement seems completely absurd and
phony. They only care about some matters, while ignoring ones much more
important.
>>
Religious Liberty
<<
They quote the following:
>> The Spirit of the Sovereign
LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the
captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's. Matthew 22:21<<
The above are what I have been saying as well, but I actually mean them. And
then they say:
>>The struggle for religious
liberty across the centuries has been long and arduous, but it is not a novel
idea or recent development.<<
Actually and factually, among the big 3, it is a novel and new idea and
development. They have always fought each other and fought numerous political
wars as well. They have always used brute force to compel others to change their
doctrines or to convert to the Christianity of the big 3! They want religions
freedom for themselves but do not give it to others. The ultimate evil, is it
not? They want tolerance and freedom in politics and religion but do not wish
the same for others. Freedom and choice means allowing each to do as they see
fit, rather than the preferred way of the phony lying big 3 which is to force
everyone to see, think, and do as they do.
>>Determined to follow Jesus
faithfully in life and death, the early Christians appealed to the manner in
which the Incarnation had taken place: “Did God send Christ, as some suppose,
as a tyrant brandishing fear and terror? Not so, but in gentleness and
meekness..., for compulsion is no attribute of God”<<
I honestly do not understand how the big 3 can mention this with a straight
face. After all the bullying, persecuting and even killing anti-trinitarians, as
if they were actually heretics who rejected God entirely, and used the sword and
government powers to conquer and subjugate others into their set of doctrinal
beliefs, and then participate in inquisitions, witch hunts, and killing
protestant sects who dared challenge their authority, I can not fathom the
absurdity of declaring as they have here.
Protestant Main Stream has done little better, having supported many revolutions
and overthrows of kings such as Oliver Cromwell’s overthrow of royalty and
King Charles and then killing Irish Catholics in Ireland, when the only penalty
the Bible ever prescribed for heretics was shunning/excommunication and not a
bit more. Protestants helped kill off Indians in the later to be
Indeed, WWI was supposed to be the war to end all wars and yet it proved to be
the first of many horrendous wars to follow with the blood shed becoming ever
greater and almost always it was Christians on one side killing Christians on
the other side. The outrageousness of putting nations and their interest,
ultimately the interests of the devil who loves to spill blood, for life has not
value; against the interests of God, and placing the laws of nations above the
laws of God. Evil if ever there was any!
How do these big 3 possibly reconcile these with their current statement of
gentleness, meekness, and no compulsion? All I have ever seen is compulsion and
brutality, slighting God in favor of the devil, ultimately. If they have changed
their minds and no longer want to do as they have previously and consistently
done, then let them confess their many sins and beg forgiveness and remove
themselves from war, politics and anything corrupt and become as such as they
now declare they are or want to be.
For the instruction of the Bible is that confession and repentance must precede
salvation. Without confession and repentance, there can be no forgiveness or
salvation and as I see it, their sins have piled clear up into heaven and they
have an awful lot to confess.
>> Christians confess that God
alone is Lord of the conscience.<<
So is that why they kill and compel in the name of God?
>>No one should be compelled to
embrace any religion against his will, nor should persons of faith be forbidden
to worship God according to the dictates of conscience or to express freely and
publicly their deeply held religious convictions. What is true for individuals
applies to religious communities as well.<<
Hypocrites and liars! They have never respected the will, the conscience, or the
convictions of individuals who see some scriptures and doctrines differently. To
this very day, were you to speak up in a protestant church, you might very well
be silenced and you could also end up being shunned or avoided. They ask that
they received such freedom and tolerance but do they give as they ask to
receive? Not as far as I have seen.
What if you contradicted the trinity, and eternal hell of torment, or defended
abortion from the scriptures, or many other possibilities? You would be an
outcast in no time. I guarantee it! Amish do not try to tell the world what to
do. They only correct their own. I feel they are a bit harsh in their demands
but at least they are tolerant and respectful of the world to let it do as it
pleases as long as the Amish are allowed to do as they please. In fact, the
Amish are allowed their won schools, long before home schooling became popular.
Their young are allowed to work full time at 13, How about that? Why? Likely
because the government does respect the Amish for their complete abstinence of
political meddling! They deserve some recognition for this fine stance.
I could ask that they be more constrained by the scripture upon insistence of
life styles not required by the Bible but who is there that can deny that the
Amish show quite a bit of love and concern for their fellow Amish and Amish
communities? For whatever faults they might bear, their example stands up and
out as being exemplary and virtually without equal. Let the big 3 match that!
>>It is ironic that those who today
assert a right to kill the unborn, aged and disabled and also a right to engage
in immoral sexual practices, and even a right to have relationships integrated
around these practices be recognized and blessed by law—such persons claiming
these “rights” are very often in the vanguard of those who would trample
upon the freedom of others to express their religious and moral commitments to
the sanctity of life and to the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of
husband and wife.<<
I defend the right to abort. But I agree with them in that the disabled or those
of poor health should not be euthanized (killed) so that costs may be saved or
that there is little point in helping them since their health has been so
deteriorated. Such callous disrespect for what is clearly life, unlike unborns,
is certainly the last step on a slippery slope that leads to killing off most of
mankind for whatever reason they like. Maybe to save the planet and environment?
Or because the rich no longer need so many to perform labor since most labor and
objectives have now been accomplished and the laborers are no longer needed and
so we give them the ultimate pink slip by just killing them off. I have no doubt
this is the real and ultimate plan of those who rule over us.
But I do not hear much mention of this by the big 3 but I do see things in the
Bible that indicate it. And the big 3 are correct that these political and
social types who advocate broad powers of euthanasia or soon will and how
advocate unbridled unrestrained sexual behavior or soon will, as freedom and
tolerance, will actually bring about the worst tyranny man has ever faced by
these methods to break down morals and decency. ON this, the big 3 would be
right if they concur with what I suggest, as they seem to in the above
statement.
But with so many wrongs done in our society, gay marriage could hardly be
anywhere near the biggest concern. Poverty and war would be the every 1st
2 things to solve. Then Justice without cost and done on a very local level by
members of the community, not by hired judges who do not even know the litigants
or accused and victimized. After the many really big problems are solved, then
we can better determine what the next problem to solve should be. Priorities are
essential.
>>We see this, for example, in the
effort to weaken or eliminate conscience clauses, and therefore to compel
pro-life institutions (including religiously affiliated hospitals and clinics),
and pro-life physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other health care professionals,
to refer for abortions and, in certain cases, even to perform or participate in
abortions.<<
Here is a perfect example of what I speak of throughout this critique. Abortion
is not a matter of individual judgment or opinion. They want to force us all to
define life by their definition and not our own. They do not want to live and
let live, they want control and dictate, like any good despotic tyrant or cult
leader. Well, they have had many centuries of experience which is why it is so
natural for them.
When they are not listened to or are infringed, it is intolerance and tyranny.
But when they want to bully and force, then the other side is automatically
subversive and wrong. But true freedom and tolerance must be allowed for both
views and further, Christians do not dictate to nations and governments. They
stay politically neutral and their only job is to voice God’s way as the best
way and recommend it to people without actually trying to change the politics
and laws. Win people over with good arguments, not force.
But I seriously doubt this will ever happen with this bunch. Bullying and force
have always been their main tactic. Indeed, an old dog can not learn new tricks
and a leopard can not change its sport nor a zebra its stripes. New wine must be
put into a new wineskin, so says the true Lord of real Christians.
>>We see it in the use of anti-
discrimination statutes to force religious institutions, businesses, and service
providers of various sorts to comply with activities they judge to be deeply
immoral or go out of business.<<
Point well taken by the big 3. This is the problem when you try to force your
ways down their throats and they, in turn, do the same to you. It would be much
easier if you stayed out of their affairs then you could more easily request
that they stay our of yours, much like the Amish do. But since both sides like
to bully, there is little chance that either side will let the other live and
let live.
Bullying and tyranny have this odd effect that when they are employed, then
usually tyranny begets more tyranny. Our Lord did say that what we sow we then
reap. But the big 3 have not figured that out yet. They likely never will. That
is why they have not been known by God even yet. He will say to them come
judgment day, I know not who you are. Get away from me, you lying criminals.
The big 3 point out how they have been attacked by intolerant laws forcing them
to violate their conscience and hamper their religious freedom. I agree this was
done but how easily it is justified when religion has done much the same thing
in its past. How better would be their argument for freedom if they had always
stayed out of other people’s business and let the country run as the majority
of citizens saw fit. Then they could say: “please let us do as we please, even
as we have done for you.” It did work for the Amish, did it not?
Religion has certainly been in the cross hairs of government snipers, but again,
we are now reaping what religion has sowed for years and the religions often
used governments and kings to do their bidding with the sword. Now it comes back
to haunt them. Jesus said that would happen, that our “lovers” would turn on
us and destroy us. Did they not think their supposed Lord would be right? What
do they think of their Lord’s instruction? Than again, I wonder who their
“lord” really is.
>> the trend also threatens the
common welfare and the culture of freedom on which our system of republican
government is founded.<<
Which is exactly why they should have stayed out of the government’s bed and
remained completely neutral in political affairs. Yes the trend is concerning
and the government has every excuse they need to continue such and nsay to the
big 3,” you always enjoyed it when we did as you wanted, now its your turn to
do as we wanted.” You made the rules, you big 3! Now live with the
consequences of ignoring God for nearly 2000 years. Indeed, the chickens have
come home to roost.
But even now, I beg that you consider confession and repentance upon your death
bed and receive salvation from Christ, for even yet, it is not too late to take
a stand for the Christ against the nations of the devil.
>> Restrictions on the freedom of
conscience or the ability to hire people of one’s own faith or conscientious
moral convictions for religious institutions, for example, undermines the
viability of the intermediate structures of society, the essential buffer
against the overweening authority of the state, resulting in the soft despotism
Tocqueville so prophetically warned of.1
Disintegration of civil society is a prelude to tyranny.<<
Oh, they are just figuring that all out now, are they? Took them long enough!
Interestingly, while they say we must hire without preference or criteria except
that which they dictate to us, tying or hands and depriving us of freedom and
liberty, they, the governments and big business have many ways to secretly and
subversively ignore those laws themselves by soliciting people among all groups
to join their conspiracy so that they can hire whatever type they need form
their own ranks and keep out whoever they want, otherwise. A case of do not do
as I do, but do as I say, right?
Political Correctness finally comes back to haunt phony Christians. Oh, the
ironic justice of it all! If you read far back in this Declaration, you will
note brags made by the big 3 about how they influenced politics and social
agenda and brought rights and laws to us all. They loved it when they thought
they were running it. Now they find out maybe they were not or that it went in
another direction that is not so beneficial or nice. Had they remained
politically neutral, favoring freedom and choice and tolerance at all times,
they would not be in this mess now.
Yes, total tyranny is just a short time away and it can not be stopped. But it
is not too late for confession and repentance. But there is no time like the
present to do it, or otherwise when you are ready, it may already be too late.
Do not delay!
>> As Christians, we take seriously
the Biblical admonition to respect and obey those in authority.<<
Is that why you have overthrown so many governments and kings and fought so many
other governments and kings in the many wars over the last 2000 years? Because
you respect what God has placed or allowed? Because you respect and obey those
in authority? I, for one, do not believe it and I don’t think the governments
do, either. Better repent now before its too late!
>> We believe in law and in the
rule of law.<<
Especially their own laws against abortion, against teens working or marrying;
and infaovr of dictating to others what standards there should be in
entertainment, sexuality, obscenity, or numerous other areas where maybe some
tolerance should be applied. I don’t really think they respect any law except
the ones they want to pass and shove down our throats. The facts speak for
themselves as does the track record, does it not?
>> We recognize the duty to comply
with laws whether we happen to like them or not, unless the laws are gravely
unjust or require those subject to them to do something unjust or otherwise
immoral.<<
Well, therein is the problem. They just have to say that a law is immoral or
unjust and then they do not have to go along with it. And there are laws that
are unjust and immoral, but many of these they do observe. And they declare
abortion as immoral when I can show from the many scriptures that this is not
likely the case. Am I immoral, or just see things differently with good
justification in support of my views?
Indeed, we must obey God as ruler rather than men or governments. But when we do
not hesitate to kill others who call themselves Christians in wars, Are we
really obeying God over and above our nation? They contradict themselves at
every turn. There is no credibility left for them.
They desperately need to get out of politics once and for all and stop enforcing
their views of decency or conscience on others, on the grounds that they also be
allowed their own conscience and conduct among their own only. If they do not
like abortions, don’t get an abortion. If you don’t like Playboy magazine,
do not buy it. But don’t tell others what to do.
>> The biblical purpose of law is
to preserve order and serve justice and the common good; yet laws that are
unjust—and especially laws that purport to compel citizens to do what is
unjust—undermine the common good, rather than serve it.<<
Just one problem! This nation has never been under God’s law or at least, not
many of God’s laws. Only a few at most. God’s law is good, I agree. And no
doubt that those who seek to compel all citizens to comply with what they object
to on reasonable grounds, will ultimately end up in the destruction of the world
and everyone in it, most by their own hand and the few left, by God’s hand.
They are cutting their own throats when they tell God, in essence, to stay our
of their lives. He will do exactly as they ask, until they attack God’s
people, and then He will respond with judgment to those who attack Him by
attacking His people.
>> Going back to the earliest days
of the church, Christians have refused to compromise their proclamation of the
gospel.<<
What a lie! They could not substantiate that statement if their lives depended
on it. They have twisted and butchered the gospel so bad, there is hardly
anything left of it in their teachings. That is why this refutation of their
Declaration demonstrates. This is what you call serious propaganda of a
deceitful nature. No government is going to fall for it. God won’t either,
unless they confess and repent.
>>In Acts 4, Peter and John were
ordered to stop preaching. Their answer was, “Judge for yourselves whether it
is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking
about what we have seen and heard.”<<
Yes, that is what the disciples, the Apostles, did. But they followers 200 years
later did not! Today, the big 3 are still in bed with the “kings.” Maybe
they feel its time to get out of bed. They see the handwriting on the wall . . .
maybe. But without full confession and repentance, none of it will work.
But it would b a good course for any real Christian to follow in obeying Gov
above man and king, but not fighting their wars, most especially when they
require us to kill others who cal themselves Christians. For Jesus did say, in
that you do it to the least of these, my brothers, you do it to me. That ought
to give us reason to pause and reconsider what we have been doing for the last
1800 years.
>> Through the centuries,
Christianity has taught that civil disobedience is not only permitted, but
sometimes required.<<
Only if it violated what God requires of us, such as thou shall not kill they
brother across the ocean in another nation. But the history of the big 3 is that
they have committed civil disobedience far beyond what God requires, helping to
overthrow governments and kings, by the many, at home and in other nations. The
garments of the big 3 are saturated red with blood. They have a lot of sin to
account for and they are lying big time about their previous conduct. It will be
accounted for and it will start with me, in behalf of God, the Almighty and
Sovereign Lord, known in ancient times as Jehovah (JHVH or YHWH in the Hebrew
Old Testament).
>>Unjust laws degrade human beings.
Inasmuch as they can claim no authority beyond sheer human will, they lack any
power to bind in conscience.<<
Well said!
>> [Martin Luther] King’s willingness to go to jail, rather than
comply with legal injustice, was exemplary and inspiring.<<
It must be pointed out that MLK was not violating any laws and was simply
exercising his supposed rights. But the country and law enforcement often
ignored those rights, being that they are as phony and hypocritical as the phony
Christians like the big 3 are. Further, those in secret power did not object to
MLK’s racial equality campaign. It was only when MLK broadened his campaign to
fight for all the poor and against all war that he crossed that invisible line.
For MLK realized, quite nobly, that to fight for one group when another is also
being harmed, is of no value or decency at all. If they can harm one group, they
can harm any or as many as they want. All those hurt or victimized must be
defended. So thought the honorable MLK.
This is seldom pointed out or admitted by nearly anyone. But it is the truth and
MLK is truly a great and brave man, despite his human flaws, for being willing
to take this stand, knowing full well and anticipating, that it would mean his
death. If indeed, MLK had moral flaws, it would be my sincere pray that god be
merciful and forgiving in view of the most remarkable stand MLK took for all
humanity, not just African Americans.
It was Jesus who said that you do nothing extraordinary if you love only your
own. You can only be like God if you love those not your own as well. MLK was a
giant and that is why he was killed. Plain and simple! He put his life where his
mouth was and I know few men that have ever done that in history.
I know there are those who say he might have been a communist or taking
communist funding. All I know is what he actually did, whether with communist
money or otherwise. And for this I praise him more than most men of the last 200
years or more. IF only more took such an unselfish stand for all humanity and
not just a particular group. May the Lord remember MLK!
>> Because we honor justice and the
common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our
institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted
suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule
purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as
marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know
it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family.<<
There is nothing wrong with this stand. They should be able to do as they please
for themselves. But they should not also compel others to do the same. If some
believe abortion is OK, let them seek one if they must. But in the past, Some
who thought themselves Christians went so far as to blow up abortion clinics and
commit murder without a trial and against the law of both men and God, by
killing doctors who preformed abortion, not being able to see the understanding
or anyone but themselves.
And few main stream antiabortion believers protested or spoke out against these
atrocities. So they did not live and let live. They sought to force all others
to live as the big 3 saw fit. So their past actions are not without fault. They
are not innocent. They need to confess and repent in a very big dramatic way if
God is to be impressed or if anyone else is, for that matter.
>>We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s.
But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s.<<
Indeed, I really hope them mean this. But if this Declaration is not also
candidly followed by a very big confession and repentance for the many sins they
have committed against the Father of us all and His son, then they will have
learned nothing and it is not likely they will change anything, either.
In order to be convincing and give these words power and credibility, they need
a long list of confessions of sins to be admitted and renounced, never to commit
them ever again. Lets hope that is forthcoming.
Warning for Real Christians
For if we can not admit and learn from our mistakes, what good are we to God and
His kingdom? And to the many people who belong to the Big 3 who made this
Declaration, I say this. If the
church or denomination you belong to, does not confess the many sins I have
addressed here, and beg for forgiveness from God, and confess many more beyond
what I have listed here, and repent of them, then I warn those followers as
follows.
Revised Standard Version)
Revelation 18:
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come
out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her
plagues;
5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Render to her as she herself has rendered, and repay her double for her deeds;
mix a double draught for her in the cup she mixed.
7 As she glorified herself and played the wanton [whore], so give her a like
measure of torment and mourning. Since in her heart she says, ‘A queen I sit,
I am no widow,
mourning I shall never see,’
8 so shall her plagues come in a single
day, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she shall be burned with fire; for
mighty is the Lord God who judges her."
9 And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and were wanton with
her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning;
So well meaning members of the big 3, do not delay. Time is short and nearly up.
Delay could cause you to miss out. Act now, fast! God is soon about to separate
the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the weeds. Let yourselves be found
amount the sheep and wheat and not the other ones. Things are becoming clear
now. Take a stand for God, even as the Declaration says. Its your move now to
show God where you personally stand, according to your own individual conscience
and understanding. Don’t follow the crowd. Take the narrow cramped road and
live.
So,
with that being the case, I would not recommend signing this hypocritical
Manhattan Declaration. They have so much to answer for in their past and can not
be in an approved position with God unless they first confess an awful lot of
sins and ceased doing them promptly. Consider the next scripture!

Don't
get caught up in the wicked deeds of these phonies. It might take them years to
even confess all their sin, even if they start right now. Get out and become
free, using your own conscience and ability to interpret the scriptures for
yourself without pressure from others, even as the big 3 say is important. Do as
they say but not according to their works, as Jesus said. God holds out a very
great reward for those are willing to suffer any burden in order to remain
faithful to God. And if enough people leave the phony 3, there will be enough
numbers of them that they can join together one united dedicated flock and with
more sincerity and purity toward God than ever before. Surely God will not

The Big 3:
Isaiah
1:
18
Come now and let us reason together,
says Jehovah:
Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are
red as the crimson, they shall be like wool.
19 If you are willing and
hear, you shall eat the good of the land.
20 But if you refuse and
rebel, you shall be devoured with
the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.
You have a lot to atone for, but it cold be done. God is merciful and gracious
and has no limits as to repentant ones. Remember the Prodigal Son. But you'll
have to give up your great power and glory, and cease your political ties and
accept great persecution in taking a stand for God. But your reward will not be
small for so great a sacrifice if you do confess and repent all. But if you do
not, your destruction will be forever, permanent. You have so much to gain and
so much to lose. Make your choice carefully.
Now there are many articles of mine in which I defend from the scriptures my
point of view that I could list below, but I will address the ones brought up in
this critique and you can explore the many more on this site if you like.
